James Cameron has created really unrestrained planet. On it live rhinoceros plant-eating, saber-toothed spider-tigers, rat-monkey-dogs, the predatory plants, enormous trees and still god knows what. And also Na’vi live on a planet of Pandora are four-meter elves with ears and tails which fly on dragons and hunt with the bows and the arrows poisoned by neurotoxin. All it is realized in technology of photorealistic 3D and looks as live.
Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), the marine-veteran with the paralyzed feet, is sent to exploit natural minerals on a planet of Pandora. Pandora is also home to the Na’vi, a sentient humanoid race that is more physically capable than humans, although considered primitive. It will be a story of contact with another’s civilization. Snippy earthlings with rifles have come on a planet on which wise savages live in harmony with the nature. Earthlings use avatars, indistinguishable from present Na’vi, and one of them becomes the bridge between two civilizations.

Down the rabbit hole

At last we had a chance to look at the first official images of characters from Alice in Wonderland. Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter , Helena Bonham Carter as Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as White Queen.

“It has been Burton-ized” is how producer Richard Zanuck describes the director’s vision of the Lewis Carroll classic to USA Today’s Susan Wloszczyna
However the most interesting that the edition gives the first synopsis of a film which as it is found out, will be not just the next screen version of the book of Lewis Carroll how a sequel to it.
Alice (Mia Wasikowska ) is already 17 in this story. She attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be offered one’s hand and heart in front of crowd she afraid, then the girl who is not suffering, most probable, public statements, run from the party and, following a white rabbit, again gets to the Wonderland , the place she visited in childhood and remembers nothing.
“We finished shooting in December after only 40 days,” Zanuck says. Now the live action is being merged with CG animation and motion-capture creatures, and then transferred into 3-D.

General release the March 5, 2010 .

Fanny Ardant

“The woman is like the earth. She is not that you see on a surface. It is something very deep. Terrible riddle. A chasm. ” – Fanny Ardant.

She doesn’t look like a Frenchwoman; more likely, like an Italian. She became famous, when she was already after thirty. Really Fransua Trufaut has seen and has shown her to public in “The Woman Next Door” (Femme d’a cote) in 1981 and ” Confidentially Yours ” (Vivement dimanche!) in 1984. The passion – powerful, not sophisticated, genuine is the most important characteristic of Fanny Ardant, as an actress and as an individual.
In interview the actress prefers not to speak about her terms with Trufaut, avoiding inquiries: they were together until his death in 1984. Trufaut became the father of her second daughter Josephine. For two of them, Ardant and Trufaut, the freedom was above all. They have agreed that will not live together though their houses were absolutely nearby. “I adore the big families, but for me the love should remain something without a ring on a finger. I love the big houses, but not married couples.”
She never was married. She is 60 now and looks on 40 and still is not afraid to love. She always played strong and beautiful women. She is an actress of many venerable European directors: Patrice Leconte, Claude Lelouch, Ettore Scola.
She calls herself a fatalist. Considers that all is predetermined, therefore there is no sense to solve something or to struggle for something: “For me the life is a station. You get on a train and do not know, where it will bring you – to Timbuktu or to Lyons. That’s life… Magnificent passivity.”

Coco avant Chanel

Audrey Tautou plays the legendary “Coco” Chanel, young Gabrielle Chanel before she became famous in new film directed by Anne Fontaine. “Coco Chanel had quite a life, but you’ll only find the prologue to it here.” The Age writes. By confession of Audrey she simply dreamt of this role all her life, and the director says that has been shocked by similarity of Tautou and Coco Chanel: the same huge dark eyes, the same manner of behavior, gestures, smile .This French beauty never will grow old” said film director Anne Fontaine.

“The film, which will focus on Chanel’s childhood and early womanhood, was specially conceived with Tautou in mind, said Haut et Court’s Caroline Benjo.
“Anne said she would only make a film about Chanel if Audrey was in the lead. They met and both liked the idea.
Script, penned by Fontaine and Christopher Hampton, who is also creative consultant, was freely adapted from the Chanel biography “L’Irreguliere” by Edmonde Charles-Roux”. (Variety .com)
